Calla is like the cool, minimalist friend of desktop environment. Made by Stardust-kyun It’s lightweight, lightning-fast, and all about tiling windows to maximize productivity. While it doesn’t come with all the bells and whistles out of the box, it is very fast and minimal. Here are some tips to get started with Calla:
Calla provides a setting app for stuff related to Calla itself, such as Color schemes, compositor settings, fonts and other desktop related functions. You can open it by clicking on the gear icon at the top left of the app launcher.
You can chose the windows layout by clicking on the layout button in the bottom bar. You can set this setting to floating or tiling.
This edition require basic Linux knowledge to be used as a daily driver, since no system related settings is made with a control center.
Calla is usable but less stable than the Plasma edition. You may encounter bugs.
